Chen Liu was born in Yunan, China, in 1973 and graduated from the Central Academy of Arts and Design, also receiving Hirayama Scholarship and Gold Prize in Japanese International Fuji Art Competition. Now a professor at Yunnan Arts Institute. Chen Liu's inspiration comes from all kinds of objects in Chinese ancient period. On the other hand, he absorbs fashion culture to create diversified images. His artwork is delicately woven with intricate lines and details, whereas human figure's exaggerated look presents a playful, imaginary world.
